Terms of service

These terms apply to all orders placed with Manchester Furniture Store through manchesterfurniturestore.co.uk, by phone or in our showroom. Please read them before placing an order. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Your order

When you place an order you will receive an email acknowledging it. A contract is formed when we confirm your order or dispatch your goods. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or there has been a pricing error; if so, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

2. Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown at checkout and in our Delivery Information. We accept card payments, bank transfer and cash on delivery. If a price shown on our website is clearly wrong, we will contact you before accepting your order.

3. Products

We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, colours can look slightly different on different screens, natural materials vary, and dimensions are approximate (usually within ±2cm). Please check measurements and access to your home before ordering larger items.

4. Delivery and assembly

We will agree a delivery date with you. Delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by events outside our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes when we have received full payment. Assembly, where ordered, is carried out by our team or trusted partners.

5. Cancellations and returns

You may cancel most orders within 14 days of delivery as set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Made-to-order items are excluded from change-of-mind cancellations once production has started.

6. Faulty goods and warranty

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to all goods we sell. In addition, our furniture is covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or damage caused by incorrect assembly or alterations not carried out by us.

7. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses, or for loss or damage that was not foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

8. Using our website

All content on this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied without permission. We aim to keep the website available and accurate but cannot guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you place your order will apply to that order.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
